Scones are the quintessential Devonshire treat + they’re super versatile! The tart sweetness of cherries works so well with the softness of the scone. I love scones with yoghurt rather than cream as there’s a bitter smoothness to it that I really appreciate. I’ve been making plain scones all week at work so it’s important to mix things up + a bit be more creative. This recipe makes 14 mini-scones with a 5cm cutter, which are a great size for cute afternoon teas, picnicking or simply eating because you like to eat them!
I spent the best 3 years of my life so far living in Cornwall. First Newquay (lovely), then Camborne (slightly less lovely), so when I had the opportunity to go back for a weekend stay I was like “yes please!”.
